I was thrilled when I found out Amazon sells them. I then noticed that Amazon has no ratings yet on this product so here I am giving my feedback on just how much "I love this clothesline." Thank You Brabantia for offering such a fabulous item. I have had one of these clotheslines for the past three years, thanks to my mother. It is truly the best. It can be folded down, a cover (sold separately) put over it for storage or during the Winter months. However, I leave mine up, all year, even in the winter and we have very cold weather and lots of snow here in Central Washington. Installation was easy, and it was a huge improvement over our laundry line strung between two trees. However, after using it twice the main support pole broke near ground level. The proximate cause of the break remains a mystery to me--we didn't have any laundry loading it down at the time. However, after examining the break I was deeply unimpressed with the construction. The central load-bearing pole is made of very thin metal tubing with a 2X2" square piece of wood running its length. Ours broke at a huge knot it the wood, an obvious manufacturing defect and a good indication that the metal pole itself adds almost nothing to the poles structural integrity. Frustratingly, the company has been unresponsive.
